Chaumet, which has made over 2,000 tiaras since 1780 for monarchies and aristocratic families, is constantly reinventing this head jewellery. In the art of the tiara, it all begins with a drawing.

Romanticism, Naturalism, Belle Époque and Art Déco styles have influenced Chaumet’s creations, as demonstrated by the 400,000 archive drawings held by the Maison. Fashion and contemporary collections are sources of inspiration for creating a unique piece of jewellery.

The Salon des Diadèmes

The “Salon des Diadèmes”, showcase of Chaumet’s historic collections Chaumet’s historic collections decorate the walls of the Salon des Diadèmes, where hundreds of “maillechorts” illustrate Chaumet’s prestigious past.

The heritage of Chaumet is exceptional within the history of jewellery: several hundred thousand gouaches and drawings made by winners of the “Grand Prix de Rome”, almost 300,000 photographic prints, 35,000 glass plates, account books and correspondence.

A unique and traditional craftsmanship

Making a tiara requires a special technique: a volume model in nickel silver with which the jeweller adjusts the design to the shape of the head and to the way it will be worn. Chaumet conserves around 700 nickel silver tiara models in its museum, all of which bear witness to the history of the Maison’s creative expertise.

Tiaras and special orders

Today, a special order or unique item requires 500 to 1,500 hours of work, representing a timeframe of 2 to 6 months. Each tiara undergoes many different steps: shaping, dismantling, preparation of the setting, polishing, re-cutting diamonds, setting, applying hallmarks, Chaumet engraving, final assembly and final finishing.

This exclusive expertise belongs to the Chaumet High Jewellery workshop, located 12 place Vendôme.

The new Torsade de Chaumet High Jewellery collection -THE ART OF MOVEMENT

The new Torsade de Chaumet High Jewellery collection –THE ART OF MOVEMENT

Like a series of snapshots, the new Torsade de Chaumet High Jewellery collection achieves the feat of suspending motion in gold and gemstones. Inspired by the Maison’s long heritage and its naturalistic creations, this collection plays with endless possibilities offered by a dynamic twist.

The first jeweller to open on the legendary Place Vendôme in 1812, Chaumet pays tribute to the origins of the Maison with the Torsade de Chaumet collection. Inspired by the movement of the frieze wrapping the Vendôme column, these creations offer a modern and fresh revisiting of the twist – “torsade” in French – in an ode to movement and life.

Whether tightly coiled or loose, winding gracefully or flowing freely, these versatile twists achieve the prowess of freezing the vivacity of a movement in gold and diamond.

From the classic brilliant-cut to the rose-cut, or even the ascher-cut reimagined as a nod to Place Vendôme, these virtuoso creations are true sculptures of light enhanced by multiple sizes of diamonds in an interplay of radiance and relief.

Chaumet’s signature jewel, the Torsade de Chaumet tiara encapsulates the grace of interlacing twists dancing freely around a line of diamonds. A creation which appears to defy gravity and celebrates 200 years of mastery of Chaumet’s High Jewellery atelier.

Ceylon sapphires, Mozambique rubies, Colombian emeralds… Like a painter, Chaumet punctuates torsades of light with precious touches of colour.

Sources of emotion, the stones have been individually selected for their extraordinary aura. Whether they honour the Chaumet blue or a passionate red, these creations convey the Maison’s emblematic art of colour with grandeur.

Hublot develops its precious movements From Haute Horlogerie to Haute Joaillerie (fine jewellery), the quality of the setting work is crucial in showcasing the splendour of precious stones. This highly specialised craft, performed within the bounds of strict predefined constraints, must be subtly executed to allow the brilliance of the stones to take centre stage. The radiance of precious stones is the result of the stone-setter’s painstaking craftsmanship. Three new Hublot models marry the technical performance of the manufacture movements, the sophisticated beauty of diamonds and the expertise of master watchmakers.

Setting the stones on a watch is a feat of technical and aesthetic excellence, carefully conceived and determined in advance. The discipline is both a science of absolute precision and an art form, the aim of which is to maximise the brilliance of the stones within the limits of an extremely confined space. Overcoming such tough challenges and coupling tradition with innovation are the driving forces of our ambition.

Mechanical brilliance

Big Bang Unico High Jewellery – 334 baguette-cut diamonds – 12.5 carats Arranged in close rows in invisible closed settings on an 18-karat white gold background, 243 diamonds (8.6 carats) adorn the 42 mm case and the bezel, while 61 stones (1.3 carats) impart a contemporary opulence to the dial of the latest flyback chronograph movement. Its beating heart is the HUB1280 calibre, the Unico 2 manufacture movement featuring brand new architecture and innovations including an oscillating second clutch and an adjustable ballbearing chronograph friction system. Four patent applications have been filed for this technological wonder, which is paired with an alligator strap featuring a deployant buckle set with 30 diamonds (2.6 carats).

A precious piece

Spirit of Big Bang High Jewellery – 346 baguette-cut diamonds – 13.1 carats Aficionados consider the Hublot HUB4700 movement to be one of the finest Swiss
chronographs ever created.

Its design is directly inspired by the Big Bang, a unique case construction that allows for an infinite combination of materials. In the High Jewellery version, 178 diamonds (8.1 carats) adorn the silhouette of its tonneau case, while 113 more (2.1 carats) are set around the edges of the indices and the minute disc at 3 o’clock, the hour disc at 6 o’clock and the second disc at 9 o’clock. The elegant strap, in alligator leather sewn onto natural rubber with a buckle set with 55 baguette-cut diamonds (2.9 carats), completes this precious piece.

A mesmerising paved setting

Classic Fusion High Jewellery – 427 baguette-cut diamonds – 20.8 carats In an invisible closed setting that allows the merest glimpse of 18-karat white gold, no fewer
than 391 diamonds (18.6 carats) encrust the elegantly contemporary Classic Fusion High Jewellery in its entirety, producing a hypnotic shimmering effect. The indices and hours are built into a circle around the hands, creating an impression of height.

A composition of rectangular and trapeze-cut stones covers the entire surface of the dial, converging in the centre beneath which beats the HUB1710 self-winding movement. The buckle on the alligator leather and natural rubber strap is also set with 36 diamonds (2.2 carats).

These three new High Jewellery models result from an alchemy of styles, horological technology and materials, and are designed for those who truly appreciate the infinite preciousness of time.

Founded in Switzerland in 1980, HUBLOT is defined by its innovative concept, which began with the highly original combination of gold and rubber. This “Art of Fusion” stems from the imagination of its visionary Chairman, JeanClaude Biver, and has been driven forward by CEO Ricardo Guadalupe since 2012.

The release of the iconic, multi-award-winning Big Bang in 2005 paved the way for new flagship collections (Classic Fusion, Spirit of Big Bang), with complications ranging from the simple to the highly sophisticated, establishing the extraordinary DNA of the Swiss watchmaking house and ensuring its impressive growth. Keen to preserve its traditional and cutting-edge expertise, and guided by its philosophy to “Be First, Different and Unique”, the Swiss watchmaker is consistently ahead of the curve, through its innovations in materials (scratchresistant Magic Gold, ceramics in vibrant colours, sapphire), and the creation of Manufacture movements (Unico, Meca-10, Tourbillon).

HUBLOT is fully committed to creating a Haute Horlogerie brand with a visionary future: a future which is fused with the key events and brands of our times (FIFA World CupTM, UEFA Champions LeagueTM, UEFA EUROTM and Ferrari) and the finest ambassadors our era has to offer (Kylian Mbappé, Usain Bolt, Pelé). Perspectives de Chaumet High Jewellery collection

High Jewellery
New collection

This fall, the Maison unveils its new High Jewellery collection, Perspectives de Chaumet. Born in 12 Vendôme’s workshop, these 80 unique designs reinterpret the theme of architecture, between innovation and transmission.

Earlier in 2020, as the Maison celebrated its 240th anniversary, Chaumet reopened its historic address on 12 Place Vendôme. To mark the occasion, Chaumet’s workshop revealed a brand-new collection of High Jewellery, Trésors d’Ailleurs, composed of monumental rings that adorn the hand with architecture marvels from the four corners of the world.

Expanding the recurring theme of architecture, the new High Jewelry thematic collection, Perspectives de Chaumet, explores this art in depth, from the Italian Renaissance to the Bauhaus movement.

BVLGARI – The Barocko High Jewellery Collection

Capturing the iconoclast spirit and rock attitude of an era, Bvlgari introduces the Barocko High Jewellery collection, a bold, colourful and precious thread woven between the Maison, the city of Rome and the Baroque style.

Capturing the softness and voluptuousness that Baroque artists instilled in their sculptures, the Ruby Drapery ring plays with white gold, diamonds and a sensational ruby to draw curved, sinuous lines inspired by marble drapery. A masterpiece of both nature and human ingenuity.

Opulence, extravagant glamour and aesthetic pleasure above all. The Lady Arabesque necklace captures the creative freedom of the Baroque through Bvlgari’s striking gemstone combinations and an unbelievably rich design.

Pearls, the ultimate Baroque emblem of luxury and a timeless symbol of elegance, are irreverently combined with a showstopping pear-shaped rubellite weighing an unbelievable 60.79 ct. An unconventional aesthetic choice devoted to absolute beauty.

A triumph of quintessential joie de vivre and creative bravery, the Cabochon Exuberance necklace is an audacious hymn to life. Showing graphic decors inspired by Rome’s Horti Farnesiani gardens, this outstanding necklace combines different shapes and colours in a daring one-of-a-kind piece.
